So would I.
I accept a limited amount of commissions each year. I enjoy the challenge and the experience I've gained with each requested piece. Below are samples and a standardized rate chart for commissions in 2005. Email me with any other proposals and I'll give you a solid quote.

- Upon receipt of payment and all your necessary files, photos, and instructions I will proceed with your commission.
- Acrylic paintings will be varnished and cured for at least 7 days before shipment.
- Your painting(s) will be securely packaged, fully insured, and shipped to you ready for matting and framing.
- I will provide a personal, signed certificate of authenticity with dated price for insurance purposes.
- Average turn around time is 2-4 weeks from receipt of your payment and reference photos. Sometimes quicker. In peak seasons I may take up to 6 weeks.
- No returns. I am a professional artist, it's a matter of trust. Read the "Before you order" section directly below.
Before you order a commission:
- Look at my art online for representations of my stylistic range and capabilities in the various mediums I work in.
- Don't order unless you are certain I can provide you what you are looking for.
- I will not "emulate" another artist's style, so I paint pretty much what ever I think is needed to get the image and feel accurate, and make the piece a professional, appealing, work of art in it's own right.
- My color palette can vary from my (current) personal preference of a slightly over stimulated, yet realistic, rendition to one more muted.
After you order a commission:
Immediately email or mail the following files (or photos) and information:
- What you have ordered: medium, size, and genre.
- Your contact information: including name, shipping address and phone number.
- A brief description of what you would expect the work of art to look like.
- Attach your photograph in .jpg format, do not compress when attaching, be sure your image is in focus with the correct coloring, my artistic interpretation is based on what you provide me to work with.
- Thank you for supporting the arts.
Email all to: gregconley@watercolorpainting.com

If paying by mail: Include certified check or money order payable to: Greg Conley
Payments and Copyrights:
All commissions must be paid for in advance. This rather unfortunate policy is due to past internet or mail order sales experiences I've had.
As a work-for-hire, the patron will retain all copyrights to their commissioned work, but patron must allow the artist fair use of the image for artist's own promotional purposes.
I can also re-paint a new version of any of my original paintings that have already been sold. I retain all copyrights to my original art.
